The famously private couple had managed to keep Joanna’s pregnancy a secret from the press until now.
A representative for the comedian told Us Weekly that the pair are now proud parents to a baby girl.
Newsom is an accomplished harpist, pianist, singer and actress.
In a 2013 interview with Glamour, Samberg, who’s famous for his musical parodies, discussed the possibility of collaborating with his future wife.“We’ve talked about [collaborating],” he said.
So despite being such a high-profile celebrity pairing, it’s no surprise that Samberg and his wife stay out of the spotlight in their personal life as much as possible.
Case in point: Newsom and Samberg got married in a secret ceremony in Big Sur in 2013, after five years of children, according to an interview Newsom had with Larry King back in 2015.
The pair had previously spoken about their desire to have children with both talking about their love of kids in interviews in the past.
The couple is notoriously good at keeping secrets and they’ve managed to keep the pregnancy completely private until their announcement a couple of days ago.
" In 2010, Roan Press issued a tribute book, "Visions of Joanna Newsom," with contributions by novelist-memoirist Dave Eggers and others.
Samberg's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" co-star Terry Crews revealed the upcoming nuptials last Tuesday, telling "Access Hollywood," "He's getting married this week.
“He’s the person I would most want to hang out with at any given moment.
He’s probably the biggest superfan of my music.” That goes for Samberg, too. That takes up a lot." Congratulations to the couple, and also good job on joining the long list of celebrity parents that welcomed real life babies this year.
