To install Copy Trans Manager on your i Pod, simply extract the exe and ris files from the zip file to your i Pod. You can either use the Installer including other tools of Copy Trans or the above mentioned zip file.Once installed, run the software and connect your i Pod or i Phone to your PC.Also, I had posted a link on another thread in which slimming down i Tunes, and keeping out unwanted extras, like Bonjour, was outlined. I agree, it's nothing groundbreaking but it's reference to programs compatible with Linux and Mac that were of most interest to me. Other i Pod managers miss out on some or the other features.
If you have i Tunes on the computer, and the i Pod had been used with the i Tunes, then some settings have to changed, otherwise Floola will give a message that the i Pod has not been set up properly, and then quit. After I had selected the right make of my i Pod, then settings of i Tunes had to be changed...
I had Googled for the title of the link which you gave, and I had come across a whole lot of pages.
If I had to install i Tunes, or Quick Time, why would I want to go for an alternative to i Tunes, which I want to get rid of in the first place. Its the best for managing your i Pod, since other alternatives fall short somewhere or the other. Recently, I have noticed that its setup size has reduced a lot.
